Dances created and released between November 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026, must be listed on UrbanLineDanceConnection.com by March 31, 2026, to be eligible for nomination.

Dances released between April 1 and September 30, 2026, must be listed on Urban LineDanceConnection.com by September 30, 2026, to be eligible for nomination.

If your dance is a Gospel Dance or a Trail Ride Dance, please indicate in the proper spot on ULDC.

You MUST post a video that works for every dance you enter on ULDC. We will no longer go elsewhere to find the video.

The NOMINATION PROCESS

Processes have been formulated to alleviate the improper manipulating of outcomes. These include:

  • Including external witnesses to assist in tallying and validating the outcomes,

  • Incorporating a members voting committee to manage the voting process, and

  • Reviewing and sealing the winner’s envelope to avoid tampering once the winners are known.

FINAL BALLOT

**Union Crew members and their immediate family members are prohibited from voting in any stage of the ballot process.

  • Based on the outcomes of the initial Nomination ballot, the final ballot is then posted on Survey Monkey for one week. At the end of that week, ballot outcomes are determined. The final ballot outcomes will establish the individuals to be awarded.

  • After final ballots are determined, the winner’s envelopes are sealed with a non-intrusive stamp. Only the voting committee has knowledge of the results prior to the envelopes being opened onstage during a formal ceremony - the January UC Star Awards.

All Award Recipients will be announced at the UC Star Awards dinner on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Additional awards, special awards and recognition will happen at that time as well.
